RELAYING OF NEW PIPE LINES
In addition to the cost of wasted water a leaking pipe can cause two big problems. The damage caused by the leak and the disruption involved with finding the leak and the relaying pipe work to fix it. But now, new technology has meant the second part of the process is far less dramatic than in the past.
OLD vs NEW
Previously, when a leak was detected, entire sections had to be lifted to be investigated and the to have the new pipe relayed. This could involve lifting entire sections of concrete or tar which can be extremely costly.
New technology has allowed for easier detection of the leak without having to relay an entirely new pipe as well as limit the cutting or capping saving money and time. Now the work is much more accurate saving time and reducing costs.
